Event Date(s):
23 August 2017, 24 August 2017

Location: Cardiff Metropolitan University

We are pleased to announce that HEURO is running its annual event for members of staff who are new to the exciting world of mobility. Though aimed primarily at newcomers to Erasmus and Study Abroad, the workshop also offers sessions on specific job roles within the mobility area. It could therefore equally be of interest to more experienced practitioners, or those changing roles. As always, it will offer opportunities to network and exchange ideas and good practice with colleagues.
The workshops will this year take place at Cardiff Metropolitan University on the 23rd and 24th of August 2017.
Topics to be covered include:
·       essential paperwork and deadlines, with a walk through the Erasmus year;
·       best practice in setting up bilateral agreements and creating beneficial partnerships;
·       how and when to distribute funding to students;
·       ways of preparing students for their placement abroad.
In addition, there will be sessions on:
·       KA107 International Credit Mobility [ICM];
·       pre-departure sessions;
·       different HE systems in Europe;
·       the OLS;
·       strategies to support and encourage staff mobility;
·       Study Abroad (i.e. non-Erasmus+ mobility);
·       Liaising with Study Abroad Coordinators in schools/faculties;
Sessions are a combination of presentations and group activities. Participants are welcome to attend either or both days.
There will be a HEURO dinner on Wednesday 23rd August at Cardiff Castle, to which colleagues are warmly invited.
We look forward to seeing you in Cardiff, but if in the meantime you have any questions about this event, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@heuro.org.uk
