Event Date(s):
12 January 2016, 13 January 2016

Location: Brussels, Belgium

The Overseas Mission this year will take place in Brussels.  It will include a roundtable discussion on implementation of Erasmus+ with MEPs on the Committee of Culture and Education at the European Parliament (CULT) which will enable them to hear from UK based practitioners both on the Erasmus+ programme after two years and on priorities for the successor programme.  It will also include an update on implementation of Erasmus+ and a future perspective from Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Head of Sector, Erasmus+ for Higher Education, European Commission.

We hope you can join us for this Overseas Mission.  It has a different focus from previous Overseas Missions.  It will give us a chance to better understand how the programme works at the EU level and to make our views known potentially positively to influence the future development of the programme.  As always, it will be a valuable networking opportunity as well.

The registration fee of £80 for HEURO members and £120 for non members includes the Mission dinner on Tuesday evening, 12 January 2016.  This will be held at Chez Leon, Beenhouwersstraat 24, 1000 Brussels.  Transport will be provided from the European Parliament to the restaurant.

However, accommodation in Brussels is NOT included in the registration fee and participants are asked to make their own arrangements.  HEURO suggests staying at the Thon Hotel EU.  It is located in the European quarter, close to the European Parliament, and it currently has good availability; participants should book directly via

Registration is now open using the link below.  Please note that the registration deadline is 6 January 2016 and no refunds will be available for cancellations made after this date.
